To keep the death loop the same, you have to start a new character. We’ve designed these characters to be compatible as far as the game’s story is concerned. The only exception is the main character, Colt Vahn. He is the head of security on the party island, Blackreef. He is also the main character in the game so you don’t have to start with him.
All of our characters are supposed to be compatible, but they can be created in any way you see fit. Colt is the only one that has to start with him.
